![]() Eve Linkletter is at the moment a puzzle to me. One early Fabian book shows her image (above) on its back cover . However, beyond that, I am at a loss for information.  , As you can see below, the Linkletter credit appears on books from Fabian as well as the later Nite-Time imprint. Her books are sensitively written from a female persepctive and have made a bit of an impact on the scholarly world in that TAXI DANCERS, an early Fabian title, appears to be a referenced source of background on that curious occupation wherein women would rent themselves out ("a dime a dance") to men in city dance-halls -- a transitory relationship that always hovered on the edge of the act of prostitution.
